Salvation

We believe that Salvation is the means by which a Holy God draws sinful man into His presence. God made salvation possible through the death of His lovely Son. It is wholly the work of God and is accepted as a gift by faith in Christ alone.

We believe that man is spiritually dead (Eph 2:1), an enemy of God (Rom 5:10) and justly under His condemnation (John 3:36). Sinful man is utterly incapable of justifying himself before God (Rom 3:19). Salvation is completely the work of God (John 1:12,13), who in mercy provided salvation through the vicarious sacrifice of His Son (1 Cor 5:21; Mark 10:45; Rom 5:18). Salvation is a free and merciful gift of grace (Titus 3:5; Rom 5:8; Eph 2:8) that cannot be merited (Eph 2:9). The offer of salvation is extended to all men (John 3:16; Rev 22:17; 1 John 2:2 ) but appropriated only by the elect (Acts 13:48).
